A week at RFKC is a rewarding, life changing experience, which can also be very frustrating and exhausting. Training is key to managing it well. All volunteers require interviews (done the first year you volunteer) and training in order to work with the campers. Volunteers who will spend the week at camp require the most training. Veterans require less training. All sessions strive to be fun and motivational as well as informative. Training will take place at Gardendale-Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church.
Be sure to complete our online volunteer application form if you haven’t done so already. This is required for all volunteers, whether new (rookie) or returning (veteran).
